Scotland — Empowering Endings
From January to March 2025, The Decelerator, SCVO, and Community Enterprise co-hosted a three-part event series for Scottish voluntary sector infrastructure practitioners.
Together with 40 leaders and support professionals, we explored how to better support organisational endings — and what infrastructure bodies can do now to meet the sector’s evolving needs.
What We Did
Mapped sector needs around endings and transitions
Shared practical tools and insights for handling closures, mergers, and leadership change
Identified gaps in current support systems and approaches
Built relationships to enable ongoing peer learning and collaboration
